KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Karate Association (SKA) were crowned overall champions in the karate event at the National Martial Arts Championship held at the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil over the weekend.

They captured 11 gold, three silver and three bronze medals to top the medal tally, well ahead of second placed Selangor State Karate-do Association, who only managed four golds, two silvers and six bronze followed by Perak Karate-do with two golds, three silvers and two bronzes.

The gold medal winners were Nur Rasyiqahfari’ah Razmi (Cadet Female Kata), Adlin Vince Viceroy @ Irwan (Cadet Male Kata), Danish Rayyan Rajis (Cadet Male Kumite -52kg), Al Zovqinz Zurizal (Cadet Male Kumite -63kg), Amirah Syahidah Azlan (Cadet Female Kumite +61kg), Nur Farhadylia Ershan Jr (Junior Female Kata), Nur Radhiah Fathiah Razmi (Junior Female Kumite -48kg), Muhammad Farish Danish Mohd Saidin (Junior Male Kumite -61kg), Audrey Adreana Baking (Junior Female Kumite -59kg), Nurul Afqatul Khairiyah Jahari (Junior Female Kumite -66kg) and Mickail Zaquan Zurizal (Junior Male Kumite -68kg).

we treated a special case involving my nephew, who experienced arm stiffness and limited extension after an intense arm workout session at the gym.

He had been unable to fully straighten both arms for three days. The cause? Overtraining combined with a lack of proper post-workout stretching and muscle recovery.

This condition, often referred to as Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS) or acute muscle tightness, can happen when muscles are pushed too hard without proper warm-up, cool-down, and stretching routines. It leads to inflammation, micro-tears in muscle fibers, and restricted joint mobility.

We performed a combination of:
✅ Bone setting
✅ Soft tissue release
✅ Tuina and guasha techniques
✅ Guided post-treatment stretches

Within one session, the tension was noticeably reduced, and arm mobility began to return.

👉 Reminder to all fitness enthusiasts:

Grateful Encounters at CS Bone Setter

This lovely 93-year-old client came to me due to shoulder pain (frozen shoulder) and couldn't raise her arm. Although every visit is because of discomfort, I’m always happy to see her. We share laughs and funny stories—her spirit truly brightens the day.

📸 2nd Photo:
A surprise reunion with my primary school teacher—after more than 20 years! We crossed paths again because her niece needed a house visit due to mobility issues. She remains the kind, supportive person I remember, and now also a loving caretaker of many cats and dogs. A true animal lover with a warm heart.
