Calcium is one of the most popular supplement today.
The body needs calcium to maintain strong bones and to carry out many important functions. Almost all calcium is stored in bones and teeth, where it supports their structure and hardness. The body also needs calcium for muscles to move and for nerves to carry messages between the brain and every body part.

It is the most abundant mineral in the body and has four primary functions:
(1) Bone health:
Around 99% of the calcium in the human body is in the bones and teeth. Calcium is essential for the development, growth, and maintenance of bone.
(2) Muscle contraction:
Calcium helps regulate muscle contraction. When a nerve stimulates a muscle, the body releases calcium. The calcium helps the proteins in muscle carry out the work of contraction.
(3) Cardiovascular system:
Calcium plays a key role in blood clotting.
Calcium’s role in muscle function includes maintaining the action of the heart muscle. Calcium relaxes the smooth muscle that surrounds blood vessels.
(4) Other roles
Calcium is a co-factor for many enzymes involved in metabolism. Without calcium, some key enzymes cannot work efficiently.

Alongside calcium, people also need vitamin D, as this vitamin helps the body absorb calcium. Vitamin D comes from fish oil, fortified dairy products, and exposure to sunlight.

The following are good sources:
yogurt, milk, fortified dairy alternatives, such as soy milk
sardines and salmon, cheese, tofu

Vitamin C is needed by the body to form collagen. Our body also uses vitamin C to make skin, tendons, ligaments and blood vessels. This vitamin helps the body absorb iron & is also essential to repair and maintain cartilage, bones and teeth, to heal wounds and to boost our immunity.
維他命 C 是一種強效抗氧化劑，可以提高血液抗氧化水平，有助於降低心臟病等慢性疾病的風險。抗氧化劑可以增強免疫系統，透過保護細胞免受自由基的影響，可以增強身體的自然防禦能力.

Vitamin C is a strong antioxidant that can boost your blood antioxidant levels. This may help reduce the risk of chronic diseases like heart disease etc. It protects skin cells from damaging free radicals caused by UV exposure. It also inhibits melanin production in the skin, which helps to lighten hyper-pigmentation and brown spots, even out skin tone, and enhance skin radiance.
維他命 C 为抗体及胶原形成，组织修补蛋白质的合成，维持免疫功能, 保持血管的完整，促进铁吸收等所必需，同时维生素C还具备有抗氧化，抗自由基，抑制酪氨酸酶的形成，从而达到美白，淡斑的功效。

- Omega-3 fish oil (魚油）
- Bilberry (山桑子)
- Vitamin C (維他命C)

"Lutein and zeaxanthin" are two important pigments produced by plants that give fruits and vegetables a yellow to reddish colours. They are potent antioxidants ie they protect our cells from oxidative damages caused by harmful free radicals, produced by excessive exposure to sunlight, pollution, cigarette smoke etc.
"葉黃素、花青素" 具有高度的抗氧化能力，能過濾有害藍光，減少氧化傷害等補充來保護眼睛，就像幫眼睛擦上一層防曬乳。

"Omega-3s" fish oils have been shown to reduce the risk of certain eye diseases, including dry eye and macular degeneration. The retina has a high concentration of omega-3, particularly DHA.
"魚油" 的不飽和脂肪酸（包括EPA and DHA）是人類飲食中的重要成分，是維持細胞膜完整性、正常信號轉導、神經傳遞和神經形成等不可或缺的物質. DHA大量存在於大腦及視網膜細胞中，對於視力，神經發育和整體健康非常重要.

"Zinc" is a powerful antioxidant mineral that protects against cell damage. It has been shown to protect against many eye illnesses, including age-related macular degeneration, night blindness, cataract, damage to optic nerve, impaired vision, poor night vision and cloudy cataracts.

"Bilberry" promotes micro-circulation, which is important because the eye needs a steady supply of oxygen and nourishment, including other eye nutrients, to stay healthy and perform optimally. may help to keep the capillaries that supply the eyes with blood flow healthy, flexible and strong.
在二次大戰期間，英國皇家空軍的飛行員在夜間服勤之前食用"山桑子" 果醬來增強視力. 可以促進視覺敏銳度，改善晝盲症或黑暗適應症，還可增加眼部血流循環並改善眼睛疲勞.
