Jesselton Medical Centre (JMC) was established in 2009 as a leading provider of healthcare services by delivering high quality services for patients and ensuring long term sustainability. Located at Metro Town, JMC is 4.1 km from the Kota Kinabalu city centre, and 2.3 km from Queen Elizabeth Hospital II. JMC offers high quality, affordable medical care in general and specialised areas including Ca

rdiology, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics & Geriatrics. JMC is located in a self-contained 7-storey building which accommodates 28 consultant rooms, capacity of 80 patients-beds, consisting of 67 ward beds, 6 ICU beds and 7 maternity suites.

🔹Introducing Our Visiting Specialist, Dr. Hari Sellappan

We are delighted to welcome Dr. Hari Sellappan, our Visiting General and Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Surgeon at Jesselton Medical Centre.

Dr. Hari is a highly trained surgeon currently serving at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Sabah. He obtained his MB B*h BAO from University College Dublin, Ireland, and is a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (MRCSI). He further earned his Doctor of General Surgery (DrGS) from UKM and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS).

He has undergone advanced fellowship training in HPB surgery across Malaysia and the UK. With extensive experience, Dr. Hari specializes in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, advanced laparoscopic procedures, and therapeutic endoscopy. He is also an award-winning researcher, with publications in The British Journal of Surgery, and has served as President of the Sabah Surgical Society.
