CERVICAL CANCER AWARENESS

Cervical cancer affects the lower part of the uterus (the cervix) and is often caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). Early detection is key, as it can be prevented and treated successfully when caught in time.

We encourage all women to:
- Attend regular screenings such as Pap tests and HPV tests.
- Consider HPV vaccination as recommended by healthcare providers.
- Stay informed about risk factors and symptoms, including unusual bleeding or pelvic discomfort.

Senyuman dalam Kasih was initiated by students from the Hospitality Management programme at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). The primary objective of the programme is to cultivate a spirit of care and empathy towards the residents of Passion Care through meaningful community service activities. Students’ involvement in planning and carrying out activities alongside residents and staff helps to enhance communication skills, strengthen teamwork, and foster positive relationships.

The programme also aims to develop leadership qualities and a strong sense of social responsibility through hands-on community engagement. At the same time, it seeks to raise awareness of the importance of inclusivity and social harmony in nurturing a more caring and compassionate society.

OBEDIENCE
Scripture: Genesis 6:22 — “Noah did everything just as God commanded him.”

Reflection:
Obedience is choosing to trust and follow God’s instructions, even when they are difficult or do not fully make sense. Noah’s obedience was complete and unwavering. In a time when others ignored God, Noah listened, believed, and acted step by step exactly as God commanded. His faith-filled obedience not only saved his family but became a blessing to generations.

What We Learn from Noah:
