World Dementia Month is a reminder of the importance of understanding and supporting those living with dementia.
Dementia is not a single disease, but a condition that affects memory, thinking, behavior, and daily living. It is most common among older adults, with Alzheimer’s disease being the leading cause.
Early signs may include forgetfulness, confusion, difficulty communicating, and changes in mood or personality. Although there is no cure, with proper care, therapy, and strong family support, people with dementia can continue to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.
This month, Passion Care Centre is committed to raising awareness, reducing stigma, and fostering compassion for those affected and their caregivers. Together, we can make a difference.
