Message from the Organizing Chairman & MPS President
Hi Everyone,
You must be getting ready for the Congress of The Year- 25th FAPA CONGRESS 2014!
We in Kota Kinabalu are getting ready 'to roll out the red carpet' and accord you all a 'royal welcome'.
Some specials to look forward to:
1.Scientific Sessions with top- notch speakers from many Countries including UK, USA, AUSTRALIA, TAIWAN, HONG KONG, SINGAPORE, PHILLIPINES, JAPAN, KOREA, and others. There are about 23 leading presenters from different disciplines. 20 CPD points will be allotted to Malaysian delegates.There will be a ribbon – cutting ceremony on 9th October 2014 at 1:00pm for the Poster Exhibition.
2.Interesting social events including the colourful Opening Ceremony when the key note address will be presented by our Special VVIP speaker in the person of the Minister of Health YB DATUK SERI DR S SUBRAMANIAM. The Sabah Chief Minister YAB DATUK SERI PANGLIMA MUSA AMAN will officiate the Opening Ceremony. All Chief Delegates of Member Countries are requested to wear Traditional Costumes to be presented.
3.A Welcome Reception will follow the Opening Ceremony which will bring you on a journey of fun and adventure through BEAUTIFUL SABAH- Land Below the Wind. The Guest-of -Honour shall be the State's Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Environment. YB DATUK SERI PANGLIMA MASIDI MANJUN who is also the host of the Reception.
4.Sabah is well-known for its marine life and seafood is a much sought-after delicacy. On 10th, The Lord Mayor of Kota Kinabalu will play host to a seafood dinner at a FRIENDSHIP NIGHT when guests will enjoy Sabah's famous seafood. Country delegates will present shows from different member Countries.
5.The Grand Finale will be the GOLD and SILVER GALA BANQUET on 11th October, the evening is a formal one with ladies requested to wear Evening Gowns and gentlemen to wear lounge suits. FAPA celebrates 50 years since inception and 25 times that the Congress has been held.
The special request is to bring exercise gear to participate in a group exercise every morning. There will be a Mt Kinabalu climb after the Congress ends.
The Organizers are looking forward to welcome you together with about 1000 others from 18 Member Countries of FAPA.
