Have you ever wondered what is Geriatric Medicine all about ?
As we just celebrated the International Day for Older Persons 2023 in PPUM, we had this video montage curated specially by Fazilah Khannas and team!
For us, geriatric medicine is like exploring the intricate chapters of a beautifully complex book, where every patient's life story is a unique page. It may be overwhelming at times, but the reward of helping our elderly patients live their best chapters makes it the most satisfying story to be a part of. Above all, we make this happen by working as a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, dietitian, medical social worker, salt and language therapists, dentists and doctors!
Do watch this lovely video montage to understand better!

It's never Over till it's Over!
Dear All, we would like to inform that our upcoming Healthy Ageing Conference and Care-Givers Workshop scheduled in July 2020 is cancelled for now. Apologies for the inconveniences but we would want to make sure safety is our utmost priority and also take heed to the Ministry Of Health's suggestion to not have any gatherings. We will continue to share information on this page. So, stay tune. As the MCO is "relaxed", please be mindful to realize that each of you are still our first line of defense. Maintain the physical distancing ( yes- continue to stay connected emotionally and spiritually), practice good hand hygiene and preferably use masks when you are outdoors. We need this new "normal" to kick start again. Sharing a quote by Sir APJ Abdul Kalam" You cannot change your future, but you can change your habits and surely your habits will change your future". For a better us together, as a nation. We need to make the necessary changes, for you, for me and for everyone!
Will leave you all with a lovely video - capturing a retired dentist, Dr @Charles Eugster, the fittest pensioner. Just so you know, do not let go of the adrenaline rush that we all need! "๐โค๏ธ Life is a wonderful gift -It's never over, until it's over"
