Last December in our psychosocial rehabilitation programme, we reflected on the year past and welcomed the promise of new beginnings. We got creative with arts and crafts, kept active with dynamic movement sessions, and enjoyed peer-led cooking sessions, where one of our participants volunteered to guide everyone and give back to MMHA! Along the way, we explored ideas and emotions in group discussions and sharing, learning more about ourselves and each other.

Through these experiences, we celebrated achievements, acknowledged challenges, and practiced connecting with care and intention, stepping into the new year with gratitude, clarity, and hope.

“I learned I’m not the only one struggling.”
For many caregivers, this realisation is the beginning of healing. When you’re caring for someone you love, it’s easy to feel like you’re carrying everything alone — the worry, the exhaustion, the uncertainty, the responsibility.

Listen to our participants from the CSE Programme as they share open up about their challenges and the relief of finding a community that truly understands. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed or unsure of where to turn, know that support is available — and you deserve it just as much as the person you’re caring for.

Take your first step toward support.

Happy New Year! ✨

As we step into a new year, it’s a reminder that mental health is a journey shaped by understanding, support, and the courage to keep going, even on difficult days. A new year doesn’t mean having everything figured out; it’s another chance to embrace growth, strengthen connections, and approach challenges with kindness toward ourselves and others.

May this year bring more open conversations about mental well-being, stronger support networks, and renewed hope for healing and resilience. Here’s to a year where mental health is valued, prioritised, and nurtured for everyone!

Merry Christmas to all who are celebrating !🎄

This season is a beautiful reminder that celebrating together strengthens our bonds and brings people closer. Moments spent with loved ones fill the heart with peace, gifts become symbols of care, and warm wishes travel through kindness and thoughtfulness. With every shared smile and connection, hope gently finds its way back to us.

Take this time to reconnect with your community and enjoy a well-deserved rest during the holidays. Wishing you hope, resilience, and brighter days in the upcoming year.

November was a month filled with connection, learning, and quiet courage.

Our Caregiver Support & Education Programme brought together individuals who show up every day for the people they love, often quietly and without recognition, yet with so much strength in their hearts. These moments reminded us that caregivers deserve care too: space to breathe, to learn, to feel heard, and to be supported just as much as they support others.

Thank you to every caregiver who joined us and shared your stories during our November sessions in PJ and Perak 🤍

As we enter a period with shorter days, longer rainy spells, and less sunlight, many people begin to feel subtle shifts in their mood without realising why. That’s why we’re taking this time of year to talk about Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). It is important to know that Seasonal Affective Disorder is a real condition that can affect your mood, energy, and overall well-being during certain seasons.

In this post, we’re focusing on how to manage SAD. While it isn’t something you can simply “snap out of,” there are supportive steps you can take to ease the emotional and physical heaviness that comes with seasonal changes.

If you’ve noticed your motivation dip, your energy drop, or your emotions feel heavier during certain times of the year, this post is for you. You deserve care, understanding, and tools that truly help.

Save and share this to help others learn how to navigate seasonal mood changes with compassion and confidence. 💙

Ever wonder why some people feel more tired, low, or irritable during certain seasons? Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) doesn’t just “happen”, there are real reasons behind these changes.

For some, it’s the reduced sunlight that affects the body clock. For others, shifts in hormones that regulate mood can make energy and motivation dip. These factors combine differently for each person, which is why seasonal changes affect us all in unique ways.

Knowing why SAD happens is the first step toward understanding yourself and finding ways to feel better when the seasons get tougher.

Save this post to keep these insights handy, and share it with someone who might benefit too!
