Grateful for words like these — they mean more to us than any title or achievement. Taking time to listen, explain clearly, and make patients feel at ease will always come first.

If you’re dealing with joint pain, injury, or just need a proper opinion, Dr Raymond is here to help.

A knee can be strong — and still unstable.
That “giving way” feeling often comes from damaged support structures, not lack of strength.

In high-level athletes, knee instability doesn’t always hurt loudly — but it affects performance long before pain appears.

Proper diagnosis makes all the difference.

A knee doesn’t have to be extremely painful to be a problem.

That “loose” or uncertain feeling is often the earliest sign that the joint isn’t being properly supported. Understanding the cause early helps prevent further damage and gives you more treatment options.

Even at the highest level, injuries can happen.

Si Shin Peng, a national wushu athlete, came to see us with a loose and unstable right knee — something that can seriously affect control, balance, and confidence, especially in a sport that demands explosive movements.

Dr Raymond performed surgery to address the instability, focusing on restoring knee support rather than just relieving pain. For athletes, stability is everything — it’s what allows them to trust their body again.

Every athlete’s journey is different, but the goal is the same: safe recovery, proper healing, and a return to movement with confidence.

A loose knee doesn’t always mean sharp pain.
For many people, it feels like something is off like it’s unsure, unstable, unpredictable.

This often shows up when:
• Walking downstairs
• Turning suddenly
• Standing up from sitting
• Playing sports you used to do easily

A knee that feels loose is usually the body’s way of saying support structures aren’t doing their job properly — whether from ligament injury, muscle imbalance, or past trauma.

Ignoring it doesn’t make it stronger.
Understanding it is the first step to fixing it.

Back in October, Dr Raymond Yeak was invited as a speaker at KOA 2025 – the 69th Annual Congress of the Korean Orthopaedic Association in Seoul.

He shared his clinical experience and surgical approach with fellow orthopaedic surgeons, alongside discussions on real cases and evolving techniques. Sessions like these are more than academic — they’re about exchanging practical insights that directly shape how patients are treated every day.

What’s shared on stage eventually makes its way back to the clinic — into better planning, clearer explanations, and more informed care for patients here at home.

Always learning, always improving — for the people who trust us with their recovery.

Knee dislocation is uncommon — but when it happens, it’s serious.

Unlike simple knee injuries, a dislocated knee often involves multiple ligaments, blood vessels, and nerves. Some cases may look “better” quickly, but underlying damage can still be present.

That’s why proper assessment, imaging, and follow-up matter — not just pain relief.

If a knee injury feels unstable, numb, or unusually severe after trauma, it should never be ignored.

Starting the year the way we always do — with purpose, precision, and teamwork.

This marks our first surgery of the year at Sunway Medical Centre Damansara, a hip replacement carried out with careful planning, experienced hands, and a dedicated operating team working seamlessly behind the scenes.

Every procedure is more than just surgery — it’s about restoring movement, reducing pain, and helping patients return to daily life with confidence. Grateful for the trust placed in us, and proud of the team that makes this possible.

Here’s to a year of steady hands, thoughtful decisions, and better outcomes for our patients.
