Imagine this: you might have been in a relationship or situation that was emotionally draining, unhealthy, or even abusive. Yet, for some reason, you found it incredibly difficult to break away. You felt a deep emotional connection that seemed to defy all reason. This connection, my friend, is what we call trauma bonding.
The most challenging aspect of trauma bonding is that it often operates on a subconscious level. You may not even be fully aware of the emotional chains that bind you to an unhealthy situation or person. This is why recognizing the signs and seeking support is crucial for breaking free and healing.
