Improving the patient journey begins with understanding the systems that support it locally.

A fruitful discussion with Green Delta and GD Assist in Dhaka enabled MHTC to deepen its understanding of the Bangladesh market through direct engagement with key stakeholders in the medical travel ecosystem.

Attended by MHTC’s senior leadership alongside the top management of Green Delta Insurance PLC and GD Assist , the meeting served as an important platform to reconnect, exchange perspectives, and explore developments shaping the medical travel landscape in Bangladesh.

The discussion focused on identifying synergies between Malaysia’s clinical strengths and GD Assist’s role in supporting patients, while providing valuable insight into how local systems and partner needs influence the patient journey.

Developing the pathway for the "Health Silk Road" begins with deep institutional collaboration and knowledge sharing.

The China-Malaysia International Academic Conference on Medical and Health Sciences in Xiamen served as a vital platform for Malaysia Healthcare to engage with top scholars and industry leaders. During the event, MHTC detailed Malaysia’s comprehensive medical tourism ecosystem, highlighting our commitment to providing accessible, high-quality specialist care. This exchange of clinical expertise is a practical step toward a shared healthcare corridor, fostering deeper bilateral cooperation between our two nations.

The mission also focused on refining our strategic approach through high-level dialogue. We engaged with the Traditional and Complementary Medicine Division of the Ministry of Health Malaysia to align on market initiatives and explored potential synergies with leaders from AIA HK and International SOS. These discussions are essential to enhancing the patient support network and ensuring a seamless cross-border experience.

Firsthand site visits to advanced facilities, including Xiamen Humanity Hospital’s BNCT Center and the C&D Group, provided valuable perspectives on evolving operational models. Observing these innovations firsthand ensures that our own frameworks remain aligned with international standards and clinical advancements.

Our sincere thanks go to the organisers and partners for such a productive exchange of ideas. This synergy is a vital component as we move forward into the momentum of MYMT 2026.
