Not all cancer blood tests are created equal.

Before you decide, make sure it has proper clinical validation and that you have a doctor to guide you through the results. Because screening without clarity can sometimes do more harm than good.

Some programmes also offer patient support for follow-up tests, up to RM2,000 (if MCED results are positive), which can help ease the financial burden.

Cancer detection is evolving.

More people are starting to talk about MCED (Multi-Cancer Early Detection) and for good reason. It looks beyond what traditional tumour markers can sometimes miss.

It’s also becoming more accessible in Malaysia, offering another way to pick up cancers earlier, especially the ones we don’t routinely screen for. It doesn’t replace your usual screenings, it simply adds another layer. Because when it comes to cancer, catching it earlier can make all the difference.
