Pulmonary Embolism is often called a silent and complex emergency. Its symptoms can be subtle, overlapping with many other conditions, making timely diagnosis especially challenging.

In this case, accurate detection by our Emergency team allowed for prompt treatment through a catheter-based pulmonary embolectomy performed by Dr. David Yong Tat Wei, Consultant Cardiologist, with anaesthetic support from Dr. Paul Puhalanthy and Dato' Dr. Anselm Suresh Rao. This minimally invasive approach removes clots directly from the lungs without the need for open surgery, helping to restore blood flow quickly.
