Advancing Excellence in Cataract and Refractive Care

KPJ Healthcare launched the 2nd KPJ Eye Conference 2025 today, an initiative under the KPJ Health System in collaboration with KPJ Healthcare University as the academic partner.

Centred on the theme β€œCataract & Refractive Surgery: Sharpening Our Vision for the Future”, this year’s conference featured 14 scientific sessions and 33 speakers, including Assoc. Prof. (C) Dr Norazlina Bachik, Medical Director of KPJ Centre For Sight and Head of Specialty for Ophthalmology at KPJ Healthcare, Prof. Dato’ Dr Khairidzan Mohd Kamal, President of MSCRS and Director of Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery at IIUM as well as Dr Helen Tan, Cataract and LASIK Surgeon at KPJ Centre For Sight.

This two-day programme brought together experts from private, public and academic institutions to discuss developments in intraocular lenses, AI in surgical planning, presbyopia strategies, complex cases and real-world outcomes.

Co-organised with the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and the Malaysian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (MSCRS), the conference advances ophthalmic education and research in support of better patient outcomes.

This effort aligns with the KPJ Health System, where clinical, education and research work together to raise standards of care.

Day 2 continues tomorrow with more discussions and insights.

We Heal. We Teach. We Discover.
