The Grand Council 2025 was held from the 15 to 19 September 2025 in Canberra, Australia with the theme "Building a Sustainable St John".

The GC2025 primary goal was to discuss strategic initiatives and collaboration across St John's global network. It also focused on topics such as creating a sustainable St John, leveraging global expertise, and fostering future leaders.

St. John Ambulance of Malaysia (SJAM) was represented by Dato' Lai See Ming, Commander-in-Chief and Prof. Ir. Dr. Yee Kit Chan, Hon. Secretary-General.

It was also a proud moment for Malaysia especially for SJAM, as Dato' Lai is the First Malaysian to be appointed as a Trustee of The Order of St John and attended the first (physical) Trustee Executive Meeting (TEC) since he accepted this new role. Besides that, Dato' Lai was also recently appointed as the Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Region. During GC2025, the Asia-Pacific Group Meeting was held and was Chaired by Dato' Lai to kick start plans for the region.

25 September 2025 (Thursday) - 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗯𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘁. 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗮 (𝗦𝗝𝗔𝗠)

The ceremony was held at SJAM National Headquarters, Kuala Lumpur and was attended by Puan Sri Chelsia Chan, the
Foundation Chairman of Lion-Parkson Foundation, Datuk CS Tang and
Ms. Chow Mun Seong, Trustees of the Lion-Parkson Foundation. Also present were the members of the Hui Xin Ladies Group.

Dato' Lai See Ming, the Commander-in-Chief of SJAM, in his speech thanked the Lion-Parkson Foundation and Hui Xin Ladies Group for their support and generosity in assisting SJAM to help serve the community.

The Lion-Parkson Foundation was incorporated on 3 September 1985 to administer and disburse funds for education, scientific and charitable purposes. It was set up by the Lion Group of Companies with funds contributed by the Group’s operating companies and business associates during the Group’s fund-raising drives. Since its launch in 1990, the Foundation has contributed a total of RM53 million to various charitable causes.
