“善养生者，必宝其精，精盈气盛，气盛则神全，神全则身健，身健则病少”

“治未病” (preventive health) 的概念主要包括无病防病、有病早治、既病防变、延缓病程这4个方面，它是中医的一条重要的治疗原则，也是中医保健和康复的重要内涵。

“治未病”(preventive health) 的内涵是丰富且充满哲理的，体现了中医对疾病的积极态度。总的来说，就是要把握疾病发生和发展的规律，设法阻断疾病，使“已病”向“未病”，“未病”向健康长寿方向发展，只有做到这一点才能称之为 “上工”也即“良医”，所谓“上工治未病”是也！

“未病先防”(preventive health) 指的是采用正确的养生保健的方法，增强体质，有效地防止疾病的发生。这其中包括了精神调摄、起居、心灵健康、饮食调摄、运动保健、食药养生、心神抖擞、心理素质完美、睡眠品质良好等诸多方面。
