What is noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT)?
Noninvasive prenatal testing (NIPT), is a method of determining the risk that the fetus will be born with certain genetic abnormalities and gender identification by testing the maternal (mother’s) blood. It can be done as early as 8-10 weeks gestation period. The following can be tested:
