Our theme this time was — 🔥 “Heart Fire & Sleep”

Many participants came thinking it was just:

⚠️ 90%的人吃臭豆,其实都吃错了…

这一集再次邀请 马来西亚硕士营养师|林冠良老师 林冠良營養師Siin 一起聊聊一个马来西亚人非常熟悉的食材——👉 臭豆(Petai)

很多人以为臭豆是蔬菜,但其实它更接近碳水类食物。
所以如果吃太多,反而更容易摄取过多热量 😳

还有一个常见误区,很多人觉得臭豆可以“利尿”?
其实只是因为硫化物让味道变重,并不代表真的有利尿效果 ⚠️
不过臭豆本身还是有营养价值的!😉👍

这次我们做了一道🌶 酸菜臭豆炒辣椒
✔ 适量吃是OK的
✔ 搭配辣椒和酸菜

In the previous episode, we shared 🍗 Fennel Roasted Salt Chicken.
In this episode, together with Malaysian dietitian Siin Lin, who holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology, we explore a very familiar ingredient to Malaysians — 👉 Petai (stink beans).

Many people think petai is a vegetable, but nutritionally it behaves closer to a carbohydrate source.
Eating too much may lead to excess calorie intake 😳

There is also a common misconception,many believe petai has a diuretic effect.
In reality, the strong smell comes from sulfur compounds, which doesn’t necessarily mean it helps with urination ⚠️

That said, petai still has its nutritional value.
Today we prepared🌶 Stir-fried Petai with Pickled Mustard Greens and Chili
✔ Enjoy in moderation
✔ Pairing with chili and pickled vegetables enhances the flavor
✔ Surprisingly appetizing 🔥

Even those who usually avoid petai found it surprisingly delicious 🤤
