Cupping uses negative pressure forces on suction cups to create lifting of the tissues.

This creates space within the tissue layers for improved gliding and mobility.

We have many layers of tissue, including skin, fascia, muscle, etc., that should move fluidly but due to injury, inflammation, and simply over time the tissues can become thickened and less mobile.

Unlike other forms of manual therapy (massage, myofascial release, IASTM) that are compressive in nature, cupping is decompressive.

Decompression helps release tight tissues, improve trigger points, improve blood flow and nutrient exchange and create a change to the neuromuscular system which can allow for pain relief and discomfort.

Your shoulder health is dependent on your upperback muscle. Which consist of the traps, the lats, the infraspinatus muscle, the Rhomboid and even the erector.
When these tissue is tight, it may cause pain and reduce mobility of the shoulder.

ANXIETY AND CUPPING

Cupping is a safe, traditional treatment that helps resolve chronic muscle tightness.

Cupping can help assist in reducing anxiety

When your therapist glides the cups across your skin, your parasympathetic nervous system engages.
This promotes deep relaxation to move through your entire body. (Your parasympathetic nervous system is responsible for slowing your heart rate, assisting in digestion, and increasing intestinal and gland activity.)

Cupping increases circulation

The suction from the cups increases circulation to the area where the cups are placed. The additional blood flow to that area can help relieve muscle tension and promote cell repair.

Our modern lifestyle overloads your body with toxins.
Cupping gives your body a boost in releasing those toxins.
Focused blood flow helps your body by flushing built-up toxins through the lymphatic system. (Your lymphatic system is responsible for eliminating your body’s toxins and waste.)

Is your hamstring tight? When it's tight, it usually can be painful when we do trigger point massage on it. Tight hamstring could lead to back pain ultimately.
