Seramai 222 pelajar institut pengajian tinggi (IPT) di negara ini disahkan menghidap HIV, tahun lalu.

Timbalan Menteri Kesihatan Datuk Lukanisman Awang Sauni berkata, sebahagiannya dikesan mendapat jangkitan seawal usia 18 dan 19 tahun.

Menurutnya, jumlah keseluruhan jangkitan HIV dalam kalangan pelajar IPT dari 2020 hingga 2024 adalah seramai 1,091 orang.
