Mr. Lian will be running a fall prevention workshop on 26/10/2024 (Saturday) at 10am in Puchong. Please refer to the poster for more details.

At the end of the workshop, you will have a better understanding of:

1. The risk factors of fall
2. The dangers and cost of fall related injuries

Case reflection

This patient is a runner that complained of shin pain and was diagnosed with shin splints by her orthopaedic.

I wasn't convinced with the diagnosis due to:

Her clinical history (shin pain on impact)

Her thin size

Training frequency

New carbon plate shoe

Positive bone tapping test

So, I requested her to get an MRI scan to rule out a stress fracture.

Her result:

Tibial stress fracture
