TOOK A LONG BREAK?

Most of us took the last month to slow down or take a break in our physical exercises. Starting your movement routine is always daunting.

Will I be able to keep up in class?
Can I still touch my toes?
Will people judge me?

We can assure that it happens to all of us! It's more of a mental hurdle than an actual physical one. So let's take it step by step.
Here are some tips:

♡ Book ONE class and commit to it. Set reminders and alarms
♡ Grab a friend cause yoga is always more fun with a friend! (Pro tip: They can also be your accountability partner)
♡ Make sure you get your yoga outfit ready (don't put too much pressure for it to be cute. Functional is where we are at now! 🤣). If you are coming from work, keep your change of clothes in the car.
♡ Don't worry about nailing the poses in class. Your goal is to be present, breathe and move.

And if you feel happy and satisfied after class...repeat 😁

So take that first big step onto your yoga mat and all will flow through...♡

HARI RAYA CLOSURE

The end of Ramadhan is almost here, and we will be welcoming the month of Syawal. We hope you had a fulfilling and blessed month.

The studio will be closed from 31st March (Monday) until 2nd April (Wednesday).

All active packages will be frozen during this period.

Classes will resume on 3rd April (Thursday)!
Regular schedule will also resume. So evening classes are back!

We are looking forward to seeing you all on the mat again ♡

RAMADHAN IS HERE

Any day now, Muslims around the world will be observing the month of Ramadhan, and we would like to take this opportunity to wish you a blessed Ramadhan ♡
 
Ramadhan is a time for reflection, renewal, and spiritual growth. On that note, we do encourage low-impact exercises to keep our bodies moving and to maintain mental and physical fitness (like yoga!). Our schedule for the fasting month is now live, so do get booking!

A few changes to our schedule for March, i.e., the month of Ramadhan:
 
♡ There are NO 630pm classes on weekdays, as the annual Pasar Ramadhan will be taking place right across from the studio!
 
♡ All 815pm classes on weeknights will now be held at 830pm to allow our Muslim friends and teachers a bit more time to break their fast :)

We wish you a blessed and fulfilling Ramadhan and hope to see you on the mat!

CALLING ALL FUTURE MAMAS & PAPAS

This 90mins workshop for pregnant women and their birthing partners will prepare both of you for labour and birth. Learn how to connect with each other and work together as a team as you learn practical techniques to prep you for the big day!

Expect to learn the following:
- Different stages of labour
- Introduction to Optimum Foetal Positioning (OFP) and various positions to optimally position the baby
- Various active birthing positions and how birthing partners can offer support
- Breathing exercises for pregnancy and labour to encourage relaxation and release inner tension
- Movements to find comfort and calm during labour and birth
- Identifying and releasing fears, and learning how to create positive affirmations
- *For Birthing Partners - how to be an effective and calm birthing partner.

This workshop is led by , who is a certified Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga instructor here at Nafas Yoga.

Date: 16th February 2025, Sunday
Time: 8am - 930am
Your Investment: RM 120 per couple

Notes:
Birthing partners can be your spouse, partner, best friend, mother, or even your sister. This workshop is recommended for mummies pregnant at 30weeks and later. We are finally at the end of 2024! What a crazy ride it has been with you, yogis. Thank you so much again for turning up on your mats with us throughout this year.

We will be taking our year-end break to get ready for an awesome 2025!

The studio will be closed from 23 Dec until 1 Jan. Classes will resume from 2 Jan onwards!
All packages will be frozen during this period.

OCTOBER YOGA VIBES IS HERE

When the leaves in certain parts of the world start to change, you know we are coming to the end of the year.
If you are also feeling like the year has passed too fast, and question, "What have I achieved this year so far?!"...slow down and take a deep breath.

Instead, think about the small moments of growth that have happened.

I made it to my yoga class, even though I would have rather stayed home and Netflix.
I made a new friend, even though I am painfully shy.
I tried something new, even though I don't like change.
I said something nice to myself, even though I am so self-critical.

So let's keep the momentum of small meaningful moments!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - PLEASE READ!

First and foremost, we would like to thank each and every one of you who have continuously supported our small and humble studio (some of you since Day 1!). Showing up on the mat, excitedly joining our retreats and workshops, and bringing life to our little community of like-minded yogis ... we see you, and we appreciate you!

Over the past few years, we have been facing increasing challenges due to rising operating costs, including maintenance, utilities, and rental.

We have carefully evaluated our options and reluctantly came to the decision to adjust our pricing for the first time in 5 years. We've tried to keep it to the market rate as much as possible and still be able to offer you affordable and quality classes (and of course, our amazing, kind teachers!)

Rest assured that those already on existing packages will remain on it until it expires, including those on the pay-by-month contracts.

All packages purchased from 1 Sept 2024 onwards will reflect the new prices.

Moving forward, our Unlimited Packages do not require upfront payment, i.e., all Unlimited Packages are on pay-monthly contracts only.

SAY HELLO TO BRIANA!

"Hi everyone! I’m Briana, and I’m super happy to be joining the Nafas family.

I started practising yoga in 2019. For the first time, I felt like I could actually be good at some form of physical activity.

The teachers I met made space for me on the mat, offering props and modifications. They showed me what yoga is by encouraging me to challenge myself—whether it was facing my fears in a headstand or tackling my limiting beliefs about my strength and flexibility (yes, chaturanga and full splits, I’m talking about you).

Yoga has taught me so much about who I am, helping me build courage and resilience, instilling in me hope, faith, and integrity. I’m truly grateful for the generosity of the practice and my teachers. Therefore, everything that I’ve learned, I will share all of it with you on the mat."
