Three Legs Brand was founded with the aim of catering to the basic healthcare needs of the mass market in what was then colonial Malaya.
The founders of the group focused on products that were in high demand, such as headache powder, cough syrup, tinea solution and cooling water at affordable prices.
After the 2nd World War, due to rising demand of Three Legs Brand products, a second factory was set up in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
With economies of scale, savings from lower production costs were passed back to consumers.
The second generation directors expanded its sales network in Singapore and West Malaysia to East Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia.
It was during this time that Three Legs Brand started to advertise its products, erecting dozens of billboards, putting up signage at medical halls, placing press ads, and even sponsoring “Three Legs” stone benches outside temples.
In 1968, a second manufacturing plant was opened in Petaling Jaya, solely to manufacture cooling water.
Three Legs Brand began to adapt and refine its product design and packaging to suit different markets.
The Brand also started running more above-the-line advertising – more press ads, and the first commercials on TV and radio.
Automated manufacturing process using the latest technology was introduced. At the same time, Three Legs Brand started its licensing and joint venture operation in Indonesia.
With the arrival of third generation family members, Three Legs Brand transformed into an international player. In addition we also develop western pharmaceuticals, functional drinks, health supplements, as well as marine biotechnology extract ingredients in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Middle East, Australia and Europe.

Through the decades, our regional and international presence has grown from strength to strength. Starting off with a strong foothold in West Malaysia by reputable distributors for Cooling Water and OTC products. In East Malaysia we sell directly to local distributors.
