“The Frog Prince,” also known as “Iron Henry,” is one of the most well-known and enduring fairy tales in Western folklore. It was first published in 1812 by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm, famously known as the Brothers Grimm.

“The Frog Prince” tells the story of a young, spoiled princess who carelessly loses her favorite golden ball in a well. A mysterious talking frog retrieves the toy for her, but only after she promises him companionship in return. Although initially disgusted by the frog, she reluctantly honors her promise. Eventually, the frog transforms into a prince, breaking a spell cast upon him, and the tale concludes with a happy ending. Another notable character is Iron Henry, the prince’s loyal servant, whose emotional restraint is symbolized by iron bands around his heart that break upon his master's return to human form.
