新慈爱之家
奠基仪式于 2024 年 11 月 22 日上午 11 点举行

一个吉日吉时 (112211)，正式开始建造一座新的 3 层现代养老院，该养老院配有技术安全的乘客电梯，方便进入楼上的卧室。

这标志着该组织过去和现在的成员多年来为拥有和管理一家养老中心所做的努力。

该中心早就应该建了. 我们的精神顾问首席牧师萨拉南卡拉长老不懈地激励和指导 KL 委员会拥有和管理一所为脆弱和不幸的老人提供庇护所，这一目标终于实现了。

这将是慈爱护理中心能够提供更好、更健康的生活庇护所的新开始. 与我们所有慷慨的捐助者和志愿者一起.

正如佛陀所教导的：

News Report Update

New MCC Ground Breaking Ceremony at 11 am on 22.11.2024

An auspicious date and time (112211) to officially start work to construct and build a new 3 storey modern elderly care home built with a technological safe passenger lift for easy access to bedroom on the upper floors.

This to mark the many years of the organization's past and present members' efforts to own and manage an elderly care centre.

The centre has been long overdue. Our Spiritual Adviser, Chief Rev. B Siri Saranankara Nayaka Maha Thera relentless motivation and guidance to Pertubuhan Kebajikan Siri Jayanti, KL committee to own and manage a shelther home for the fragile and less fortunate elder has finally come true.

It will be a new beginning for Metta Care Centre to be able to provide a better and healthier living shelter home. Together with all our generous donors and volunteers.

As the Buddha taught:
"With loving-kindness, we benefit all living beings day and night, and our merits are immeasurable." (AN 8.1)

This morning was a surprised visit from my 58 years ago Chow Kit Wet Market.friends, The egg stall boss now who I used to share market life together at Chow Kit came with fellow market stall owners who I knew when I was 10 years old and have not seen them for more than 50 years brought food provisions and pork for the centre. The elders were given Ang Pau, and the group donated RM 3000 for our new Metta Care Centre Building Fund.

The group Secretary Mr Lee Chick King invited Wangsa Maju PKR, officer Mr Lai Chen Heng to come over to our centre to meet the elders.

It was a joyful morning for our elders and members of the Chow Kit Wet Market business owners.

On behalf of the elders, we are thankful and grateful for their generosity, kindness and caring services for the less fortunate ders at our centre.

Sunlight Charity Group brought an early Wood Dragon 2024 joy to Siri Jayanti Metta Care Centre for the 20 of elders

Lead by the group founder Mdm Chee together with 2 of its members they treated the elders with delicious food cooked by our centre head Sis Cynthia P*e and volunteer Sis May Lim. The cooked food sponsored by Sunlight Charity Group.

Not only the elders enjoyed the delicious lunch, they were each presented delicious cookies from the famous Tong Kee confectionery.

Also 3 of our elders whohave their birthday falls on Dec month of 2023 get to jointly cut a cake.

With all the happy moments created with sweet toppjngs were each of the elder received a red packet Angpau.

May this Wood Dragon Year brings good health, strength, and good fortune to Mdm Chee and her Sunlight Charity Group. members

The 25 friendly, caring and energetic students came to conduct high powered energy and mind challenging interactive activities with the elders on the early Friday morning of 24th Novermber 2023 They spend five hours of very meaningful and productive time with the elders. Showing their love, kindness and compassion to make the elders young again

Tai Chi was conducted to promote a healthy and active lifestyle for the elders

Creative paper art Origami making activity was conducted to instill the elders to stimulate their ageing mind to be creative. It was an opportunity for the elders to learn new skill which can be integrated as part of theirs lifelong learning process as the activity not only provide them with new skill but also enrich their creative thinking as well as improve their social and interaction attitudes.

The third and final activity was guiding and teaching the elders to have some simple knowledge in Internet utilization. The elders were taught on hiw to navigate websites, search for information and emphasize online safety, such as recognizing and avoiding scams. Practice patience and provide step-by-step guidance, fostering a comfortable learning environment.

and their logistic support mobile team, visit our centre to conduct a healthy life style education event for the elders.
They came with a healthy objectives to educate the elders to prevent the elders falling into early dementia with activities conducted by Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist

Their team of dietitian conduct the elders physical health condition taking their BP, blood glucose, height and weight readings to determine their health status.

The Pharmacy team educate the elders on identifying medicine using a series of identification objects

Towards the closing of the day, Dr Syarifah Azlina presented Healthy Lifestyle shows to illustrate how to maintain healthy life style.

On behalf of Siri Jayanti Welfare Organization the 6 departments receive a miniature bannerette as token of appreciation. Reciprocating the joy of appreciation to the elders, each received a goodie bag
