What actually happens during a hippotherapy session?
A question many parents quietly wonder. 🤍
At Happy Farms, every session is guided, structured—but always child-led.
Here’s what it usually looks like:
🌿 Warm-up & connection
Your child is introduced to the horse gently—this may include watching, patting, or simply being nearby.
🌿 Getting comfortable
We take time to help your child feel safe. No rushing, no forcing.
🌿 On the horse (when ready)
With full support from our trained team, your child may sit on the horse and begin gentle movement.
🌿 Therapy through activities
Simple, fun tasks like reaching, holding objects, or following instructions—designed to support balance, coordination, and focus.
🌿 Cool down & bonding
Sessions often end with calming interactions like patting or feeding the horse. 🐴🥕
Every session is different—because every child is different.
We follow your child’s pace, emotions, and readiness.
Because when a child feels safe, therapy becomes something they enjoy—not something they fear. 🌿
If you’ve been wondering what it’s like, you’re always welcome to reach out and ask us more 🤍
