One microphone. One stage. One idea worth spreading.

A few weeks back, I had the privilege of stepping onto the TEDxKL Open Mic stage. My message was simple, but urgent:

Pain is not the enemy.

Pain is the signal.

Back pain affects 8 out of 10 of us.

Mental health struggles are claiming lives every day.

These are not small problems. They’re global crises.

And yet, most of us were never taught to read the signals our body is sending us.

That’s why I believe we need a paradigm shift in how we see healing.

True healing not only eliminates pain — it reveals superpowers unbeknownst to us. But it must begin with us.

This was just the open mic. But the mission continues. 🚀

The Global Back Pain Problem & Ageing Populations

Standing on stage, I spoke about an issue that affects every one of us — the rise of ageing populations and the global back pain problem.

619M people are currently suffering from back pain.
1B+ will face these struggles in the years ahead.
The economic impact runs into billions.

But beyond the numbers, the real question is this: Does this make sense in 2025?

Solutions don’t just lie in technology or medicine — they lie in how we integrate body, mind, and movement into everyday life. Healing must start within us, and extend to the communities we build.

This is why I continue to advocate for proactive approaches to health, resilience, and sustainable performance — so we can create a future where ageing is not decline, but a season of strength and contribution.
