காளாஞ்சகப்படை (psoriasis) என்பது தோலில் ஏற்படும், ஒரு நீடித்த, தொற்றும் தன்மை இல்லாத தன்னுடல் தாக்குநோய் ஆகும். இது நமட்டுச்சொறி, நமட்டுச் சிரங்கு, அல்லது உரிதோல் அழற்சி எனவும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. இந்த நோய் தோல் மற்றும் மூட்டுகளை பாதிக்கும். இது பொதுவாக தோலில் சிவந்த செதில் போன்ற திட்டுக்களைத் தோற்றுவிக்கிறது. காளாஞ்சகப்படையினால் உண்டாகும் செதில் போன்ற திட்டுகள், சொரியாட்டிக் பிளெக்ஸ் என்று அழைக்கப்பட்டு, அழற்சி மற்றும் அதிகரித்த தோல் உற்பத்தி நடைபெறும் இடங்களாக விளங்குகின்றன. இந்த இடங்களில் தோல் அதிவேகமாக சேகரிக்கப்பட்டு ஒரு வெள்ளி-வெள்ளை நிற தோற்றத்தை அடைகிறது. சிவந்த தட்டைத் திட்டுகள் முழங்கைகள் மற்றும் முழங்கால்களின் தோல்களில் அடிக்கடி ஏற்படும். இந்த நோய் உச்சந்தலை மற்றும் இனப்பெருக்க உறுப்புகள் உட்பட எந்த பகுதியை வேண்டுமானாலும் பாதிக்கலாம். படை நோயைப் போலல்லாமல் காளாஞ்சகப்படை மூட்டுகளின் நீட்டப்பட்ட பகுதிகளில் அதிகமாக காணப்படலாம்.
