✨ SASMEC Enlivens Ramadhan 1446H with Inspiring Programmes ✨

The Department of Shariah Compliance at SASMEC successfully organized a series of meaningful programmes and activities in conjunction with Ramadhan 1446H. Among the key events were:

✨ All Out Ramadhan – A special talk series
✨ Daily Zuhr Kulliyyah – Short religious lectures
✨ Seminar on Medico-Fiqh Issues – Focused on women’s fasting rulings
✨ Tadarus Al-Quran – Held in respective departments
✨ Tasbih Prayer for Muslimat
✨ Tarawih & Qiyammullail Prayers
✨ Iftar & Sahur Distribution
✨ Infaq Ramadhan Programme

A highlight of the Ramadhan initiatives was the Hafazan Competition, featuring five selected surahs: As-Sajdah, Al-Waqi’ah, Al-Insan, Ad-Dukhan, and Al-Mulk. The competition saw participation from 8 male and 11 female contestants representing various departments.

SASMEC ’s Ramadhan programmes concluded on 25th March at Baitussyifa’ Musolla with the World , Khatam Al-Quran, and a closing ceremony. The Tadabbur of Surah As-Saff was delivered by Ust. Nafis Azami, followed by closing remarks from our Hospital Director, Prof. Dato' Dr. Mohamed Saufi Awang. The ceremony also featured the announcement of the Hafazan Competition winners.

WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY 2024

10 October 2024 - In conjunction with World Mental Health Day on 10 October, 2024, the Department of Shariah Compliance participated in the opening of a booth organized by the Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health. This Shariah booth highlights one of the main services of Shariah, which is spiritual care support. This service is closely related to psychological features but focuses more on Islamic content. Here, the Shariah staff provides information about the basic practices of spiritual care. In addition, the booth's activities include a quiz and exciting prizes for visitors.

The World Mental Health Day also features talks on the theme of mental health among workers, delivered by prominent mental health specialists of SASMEC . Besides the Department of Psychiatry & Mental Health and the Department of Shariah Compliance booths, other participating booths include the Rehabilitation Unit and Clinical Management Unit, each offering various activities for visitors.
