Today marks a significant milestone for the HPB and Coloractal team at USM — the ICG guided laparoscopic liver resection for liver metastasis from re**al adenocarcinoma!

The patient underwent a combined procedure: Laparoscopic Low Anterior Resection with Covering Ileostomy and a Laparoscopic Non-Anatomical Liver Resection, all in a single surgical setting.

The surgical team was led by Mr. Azem (HPB Trainee), Assoc Prof Ikhwan Sani (HPB consultant) Prof. Zaidee (Colore**al Consultant ), and Mr. Soma (Colore**al Trainee) and mmed students.

Indocyanine Green (ICG) was administered a day prior, and laparoscopic ultrasound guidance was utilized before proceeding with the resection.

Alhamdulillah, the procedure was smooth and uneventful.
Thank you all other diciplines n unit that make this surgery successful.
