We had the pleasure of using UEscope by UE Medical distributed by Spine Matrix Resources Sdn Bhd.

It's a reusable 🧼 CMOS bronchoscope. Image resolution and brightness 🔅 is surprisingly good. Suction is unexpectedly great. Handling just like a normal bronchoscopy albeit slightly lighter than the fibre optic models. The monitor comes with a dedicated trolley 🤩

It's a good addition to the standard bronchoscopy service, focusing on critical care needs. Overall, highly recommended 👍🏻

Indication: Right empyema thoracis

We used 14 Fr instead of 12 Fr for better outflow of thick pus and less risk of blockage. Minor hiccup while inserting but nothing that couldn't be managed 💪🏻. The set is quite complete minus the sterile drapes.

Overall, insertion experience is good 👍🏻. We will see how is the experience on removal. Stay tuned for updates 😉
