International Volunteer Day 2025

Thank you to all MRC Kuching Branch volunteers. Let's continue to serve our communities.

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

Today, we celebrate the heart and soul of our humanitarian mission: our volunteers.

To every Malaysian Red Crescent volunteer across the country, thank you. Your dedication, courage and compassion continue to strengthen our work and our ability to serve those in need.

Volunteerism remains a powerful enabler of humanitarian action. Whether you are responding to disasters, supporting communities during crises, promoting health and safety or upholding humanity in your own neighbourhoods, you are the driving force behind a more resilient and compassionate society.

Today, we honour you for every hour given, every effort made and every act of kindness extended. Your service truly makes a difference.

We are grateful that all the 15 families under our church's Victory Community Link (VCL) Ministry have received rice, sugar, cooking oil, and other food items from the Red Crescent (Kuching Branch) in conjunction with the 2025 Christmas celebration.

We believe that your generosity has significantly impacted our efforts in reducing the burden of these needy families during this festive season.

Your kind donation of the above mentioned items are highly appreciated. May God bless you all. Thank you very much!

Please contact our church office if you would like to contribute to our VCL Ministry's charity efforts.

Christmas Food Aids Given Away by MRC Kuching Branch & Tabuan Jaya Anglican Church

In line with Christmas celebration, Malaysian Red Crescent Kuching Branch together with Tabuan Jaya Anglican Church giving away food aids to 15 poor families from Stampin, Kuching, and Tae, Serian area under the church community link project. Our highest appreciation to Alfamy Mini Mart, Viva Future Sdn Bhd, Sim Choon Seng Sdn Bhd, Committee Members of MRC, Kuching Branch and all volunteer donors for contributing the food aids.

According to Vicar of Tabuan Jaya Anglican Church, The Reverend Richard Chang, these 15 families are studied carefully by the church committees and selected based on the total family incomes, numbers of households and conditions of houses. In this event, both of the entities also expressed that they’re eyeing for more collaboration in the future to help those necessaries in the community under the community projects.

We're appeal for the supports from the private sector in terms of funds and in kinds so that more community and humanitarian projects can be executed by them in the nearest future. Community services and humanitarian work consistently become an important pillar for Malaysian Red Crescent Kuching Branch but we cannot work alone and Private-NGO partnership is the most ideal solution to enable them work further and help more in the future.
