The MMA Bintulu Subcommittee successfully conducted the KENYALANG Series Webinar (Pilot Session) on 3 March 2026.

We were honoured to have Dr Pravind Narayanan, Internal Medicine Specialist and Acute Medicine Consultant from Sarawak General Hospital, who delivered an insightful and engaging talk for our participants.

The session was well received by healthcare professionals, with active participation and meaningful discussions throughout the webinar. Participants found the session informative, practical, and beneficial to their clinical practice.

This successful pilot marks the beginning of the KENYALANG Series Webinar, an initiative aimed at promoting continuous medical education and knowledge sharing among healthcare professionals.

Participants were also eligible to claim 1 CPD point for attending the session.

We look forward to organising more educational sessions in the near future. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this initiative.

MMA SARAWAK PRE-CNY OPEN HOUSE
AND MEMBERSHIP DRIVE

MMA Sarawak held a Pre-CNY Open House and Membership Drive on Thursday, 5 February 2026 from 12.00pm to 3.00pm at the MMA Sarawak SCHOMOS Room, Sarawak General Hospital.

The event was attended by 70 doctors, comprising both members and non-members. During the event, we received 4 Life Membership applications.

MMA Sarawak Chairman Dr Ong Eng-Joe and committee members – Dr Liew Shan Fap, Dr Lau Bik Liang, Dr Joshua Dr Tan Shong Sheng and Dr Pravind Narayanan jointly welcomed the attendees and Sarawak General Hospital Director Dr Ngian Hie Ung to the celebration.

The Open House provided an excellent opportunity to introduce and promote MMA Sarawak to the non-member doctors. At the same time, the Secretariat also promoted the MMA Charity Run to doctors, hospital staff and the general public.

MMA Sarawak had a membership drive on 28.1.26 at the Penview Hotel during the new HOs' Program Transformasi Minda (PTM).

69 young doctors are starting their careers.
32 will be working in Sarawak and 37 will be working in Sabah.

MMA Sarawak Committee Member Dr Pravind A/L Narayanan gave a talk about MMA to the doctors.
This was wrapped up by a pep talk by me.

22 who will be working in Sarawak and 22 who will be working in Sabah signed up for MMA Membership. Freebies were given to those who signed up to become MMA members. Welcome on board MMA to all new members!

I represented MMA Sarawak at the 50th Anniversary of the Persatuan Arkitek Malaysia (PAM) Sarawak Chapter on 24.1.26 at Pullman, Kuching.

The Guest of Honor, Premier of Sarawak, YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr.) Abang Haji Abdul Zohari was represented by the Sarawak Deputy Premier, YB Datuk Amar Professor Dr Sim Kui Hian.

Congratulations amd thank you Ar. Dr. Noraini and your Sarawak Chapter Exco for the memorable dinner.
