World Breastfeeding Week starts today! Women shouldn’t require superpowers to juggle breastfeeding and work.

All moms everywhere, no matter their work or contract type, should have:
🧸 At least 18 weeks, preferably 6 months or more, of paid maternity leave
🧸 Paid time off for breastfeeding or expressing milk upon returning to work
🧸 Flexible return-to-work options

Employers are encouraged to work with governments to support employees to breastfeed by offering at least 18 weeks of paid maternity leave, preferably six months.
August each year is World Breastfeeding Month, and we will be organizing activities for the first week in August, including a public forum at BMC Kuching lobby on 5 Aug 2023 1.30- 5pm.
will focus on breastfeeding and employment/work. It will showcase the impact of paid leave, workplace support and emerging parenting norms on breastfeeding through the lens of parents themselves. Employers are encouraged to work with governments to support employees to breastfeed by offering at least 18 weeks of paid maternity leave, preferably six months.
