We are a private dialysis centre, led and managed by qualified Renal Nurses, Staff Nurses, Assistant Nurses, a Medical Practitioner and a visiting Nephrologist. One of our patient's house was set ablaze on fire along side her 3 other families home in Kpg Haji Baki on 26.06.2021 around 3pm . 3 Houses were burnt to nothing and the 3 families were left with nothing but clothes on their back.

The fire started because her 5 year old great grandson was playing with matchsticks and accidentally burnt the mattress. The fire was very quick to spread as the houses were built just next to each other on wooden stilts.

At the time of the fire, Nek Nah was on dialysis and the family didn't want to tell her until she reached home.

Nek Nah is now staying with her other children in Jln Keranji while the other families have cramped with their siblings in other parts of Kuching.

Renal Life's clients and staffs came together quickly to help, collecting donations to support Nek Nah and her family during this ever so challenging times.

Ok...so, it's an annual Chinese New year TRADITION for us to have the festive lion dance come visit the centre to spark a little joy and keep up the CNY spirits amongst our clients.

However, with the pandemic lurking everywhere, there are no big celebrations and especially no lion dance ceremony .

So , the Renal Life staff got a lil creative to uplift the mood as we usher in the year of the Ox. This year, they prepared their own Lion Head , made out of recycled boxes and cloth, able to fit 4 pax instead of 2 and hopefully spread joy and love to our clients.

Our wish is for the pandemic to end, and bless our clients with health, love, peace & joy .

Last but not least , we wish everyone Gong Xi Fa Cai ! Heng ah, ong ah and huatt ah !
