17 August 2025, CanHOPE Kuching organized its Support Group activity “Look Good, Feel Confidence” Grooming Workshop with event partner & sponsor - Maison Monica Hair & Beauty Academy, specifically for patients, survivors & caregivers.

The activity aims to boost their self confidence by providing personalize guidance on hair-styling and makeup application. They were able to learn the practical tips that can help ease their transition back into normal routine and lifestyle.

Cancer treatment may start with a diagnosis but it does not end there. CanHOPE Kuching, a non-profit cancer counseling and support service provided by Parkway Cancer Centre, Singapore. They stand shoulder to shoulder with its patients and their families in the fight against cancer to help in any ways whether with emotional support, guidance or advice about cancer.

Sarcoma Awareness Month: 肉瘤意识宣传月:

Sarcoma is a rare form of cancer that affects the bones, connective tissues of the body, and areas such as blood vessels, muscle, nerves and fat. It is a complex and diverse disease, with many distinct subtypes.

肉瘤是一种罕见的癌症,可影响骨骼、身体结缔组织以及血管、肌肉、神经和脂肪等区域。肉瘤是一种复杂多样的疾病,其中包含多种不同的亚型。

Most other forms of cancers develop from epidermal tissue (the outermost layer of skin on our body), but sarcomas develop from mesodermal tissue (the musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular system, as well as connective tissues).

Vaginal cancer is rare, but its early symptoms often resemble common health issues, which can make it easy to miss. That’s why understanding the risk factors is important.

Women aged 60 and above, those with persistent high-risk HPV infections, a history of cervical cancer or precancerous changes, and exposure to DES before birth are more likely to develop it.
