The UNIMAS Clinical Simulation Centre provides simulation-based educational programmes catering to the medical, nursing and health related educations for learners of all levels (inclusive of public programmes). The mission of the centre is to develop competent, confident, reflective and ethical healthcare providers and learners of all levels by employing state-of-the-art simulation techniques to foster a highly experiential and contextual learning environment to enhance application of knowledge, thereby improving healthcare outcomes. The centre also collaborates with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Medical Centre American Heart Association International Training Centre (UKMMC AHA ITC) as a training site for American Heart Association (AHA) life support programmes such as Heartsaver® CPR and First Aid, Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professionals and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support which offers participants with official certifications in related courses from the AHA.

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UNIMAS received delegates from the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) on 9 Jan 2026 comprising of 47 students and 8 educators.

The visit commenced with a briefing on the programmes offered by the Faculty and discussed on areas for potential collaborations.

Delegates were then brought for a tour around the Clinical Simulation Centre and the Anatomy and Pathology Museum.

We were pleased that IBTE returned to the Faculty again this year after their inaugural visit to our Faculty last year. We sincerely hope to see the team again in the future.

We were honored to receive the team from Universiti Malaya for their benchmarking visit to our Clinical Simulation Centre, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UNIMAS on 19 December 2025.

The visit included fruitful sharing and exchanges between the management of institutions towards enhancing simulation-based education locally.

Serian Hospital Disaster Drill

A total of 19 students from the MDJ3253 Complex Nursing Practicum Course who are undertaking their Emergency Nursing Posting were recruited to assist Serian Hospital as simulated patients (SPs) in their annual disaster drill exercise.

Disaster drills are essential for Emergency Departments to assess their disaster preparedness, response and to test related policies and procedures.

These simulated exercise are usually conducted regularly for continuous quality improvement efforts and to ensure that all healthcare personnel are familiar with their respective roles in case of any unprecedented disasters requiring extraordinary responses.

The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UNIMAS usually lends its support by involving our students and personnel in such exercises which also contributes to the experiential learning of our students.

CSC Makeover by PPD1041 Kemahiran Insaniah dan Asas Kesukarelawan Students

We are so delighted that the Medical and Nursing students from the PPD1041 Kemahiran Insaniah dan Asas Kesukarelawan Course coordinated by Pn. Amelia binti Mohamad decided to choose The Clinical Simulation Centre, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UNIMAS for their volunteerism project.

Through teamwork and selflessness, these students meticulously cleaned the Centre's various teaching-learning facilities and put their own personal touch to redesign and repaint the delipidated main outer-wall of the Centre with the vibrant colors of UNIMAS.

Aside from the Clinical Simulation Centre, other student groups also performed well needed cleaning and maintenance to various other parts of the Faculty.

A sincere thanks to the coordinators of PPD1041 and also to our team in the Clinical Simulation Centre who tirelessly planned, prepared and executed this joint effort.

Educational Visit to Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UNIMAS by Little Nest Kindy

We were thrilled to receive our little aspiring doctors and nurses from Little Nest at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences today.

The day was filled with excited shrieks, eager minds and cuteness overload as our little ones toured every inch of our Anatomy & Pathology Museum and had their hands on at the Clinical Simulation Centre.

We also appreciate the teachers and parents who accompanied the kids on this tour and hope to see all of them again soon!

Also, special thanks to our Faculty members for making today a truly memorable event.

The UNIMAS Clinical Simulation Centre, established in 2014, under the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UNIMAS, provides simulation-based educational programmes catering to the medical, nursing and health related educations for learners of all levels (inclusive of public programmes).
