Don't See. I Don't Feel It. But The Teeth Are Decaying. 🤫⚠️
Bacteria in the mouth (Streptococcus mutans) turns sugar into an acid that damages the dental coating and causes the formation of cavities.

Here are some common dental mistakes people make—and why they matter:

1. Brushing too hard

Many think brushing harder cleans better, but it can actually wear down enamel and irritate your gums.

2. Not brushing long enough

Brushing for less than 2 minutes often means plaque is left behind, especially in hard-to-reach areas.

3. Skipping flossing

Brushing alone can’t clean between teeth. Skipping floss allows plaque to build up where cavities often start.

4. Using the wrong toothbrush

A hard-bristled brush can damage gums. Most dentists recommend a soft-bristled toothbrush.

5. Not replacing your toothbrush

Old toothbrushes don’t clean well. You should change it every 3–4 months or when bristles are worn.

6. Rinsing immediately after brushing

Rinsing right away washes away fluoride from toothpaste before it has time to protect your teeth.

7. Frequent snacking (especially sugary foods)

Constant eating feeds bacteria and increases acid attacks on your teeth.

8. Ignoring dental checkups

Skipping regular dentist visits can allow small problems to become serious issues.

9. Using teeth as tools

Opening bottles or tearing packages with your teeth can cause cracks or chips.

10. Not drinking enough water

Water helps wash away food particles and keeps your mouth from becoming too acidic.

TYPE OF XRAY 😁💀🦷
1. X-ray OPG: Provides a wide view of the entire mouth, including all teeth in both the upper and lower jaw, which is used to detect problems with the jaw, tooth position and development.

2. A lateral cephalometric X-ray (or lateral ceph) is a radiographic image of the face. It provides detailed information about the bones and soft tissues of the facial profile, which is useful in orthodontics and other dental treatments.

3.CBCT X-ray is a specialized type of X-ray that provides a more detailed and comprehensive 3D image of the teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways and bones in a single scan.

Each type of X-ray is selected based on the specific needs of the patient and the area being examined.

Periodontitis is a serious gum disease caused by bacterial infection. If left untreated, teeth can become loose and may eventually need to be extracted!

Major risk factors:
✅ Diabetes – gum inflammation occurs more easily
✅ Smoking – bacteria multiply, gums heal slowly
✅ Stress – weak immune system, infections take hold more easily
✅ Obesity – increased inflammatory substances in the body

💡 Take care of your gums: brush twice daily, floss, and have regular dental check-ups.
Healthy gums, great smile! 😁🦷
