Tendinitis vs Tendinosis — not the same thing! 🤯

🔹 Tendinitis
• Acute inflammation of a tendon
• Usually from sudden overload or injury
• Pain, swelling, warm to touch
• Often short-term

🔹 Tendinosis
• Degenerative changes in the tendon (no inflammation)
• Caused by long-term overuse or poor healing
• Thickened tendon, stiffness, chronic pain
• Needs proper rehab, not just rest

💡 Why it matters?
Different problem = different treatment.
Anti-inflammatory alone won’t fix tendinosis — targeted physiotherapy will 💪

Tissue Healing Timelines ⏳
Not all injuries heal the same — because not all tissues are the same.

This chart shows the general healing timelines for different body tissues:

🟦 Muscle may heal in weeks, but more severe tears can take months.

🟩 Ligaments & tendons heal slower due to limited blood supply — often months, not weeks.

🦴 Bone typically heals within 5–12 weeks, but full strength takes longer.

🧠 Nerves, cartilage, discs, and meniscus require much more time and may never fully return to pre-injury state.

Healing time depends on severity, blood supply, loading, nutrition, sleep, and rehab quality — not just rest.

👉 Pain reducing does NOT mean the tissue is fully healed.
👉 Returning too fast increases re-injury risk.

Rehab is about respecting biology, not rushing timelines.
Be patient. Be consistent. Load smart.
