Many patients ask me:
“Sammy, how long do I need to take medication to regulate my period or to get pregnant?”
My honest answer: There’s no one-size-fits-all, but there is a general pattern.
Usually, you’ll start to see initial changes after one full menstrual cycle (28–30 days) –
for example, less painful periods, better flow, or more regular ovulation.
But to truly stabilize your body, it typically takes 3 to 6 months.
Why not just one month?
Because irregular periods and infertility are often rooted in deeper issues like
Qi & blood deficiency, kidney weakness, liver stagnation, or a cold uterus.
Restoring your constitution is like nurturing a plant – it takes time and patience.
Here’s the key: Follow-up frequency matters a lot!
We recommend once a week, or at least once every two weeks.
Why? Because herbal formulas need to be adjusted according to your menstrual cycle –
the formula for the pre‑menstrual phase, menstrual phase, and post‑menstrual phase are all different.
Adding acupuncture makes the results come even faster.
Acupuncture directly unblocks meridians, warms the uterus, and helps regulate hormones.
So, if you ask me how long it takes?
Answer: As long as you cooperate, we will help you achieve the best results in the shortest possible time.
