Dear Parents,

Be Ready will be hosting a one-day farm experience on Saturday, 20th September 2025!
This special event brings therapy out of the treatment room and into the beauty of nature — giving children the chance to learn and grow through real-life experiences under the sun and in the soil.

✨ *Program Highlights:*
🌿 Hands-on farming activities: planting, watering, harvesting
🍽️ Farm-to-table kitchen: simple food prep & snack time
🎨 Creative arts & crafts using natural materials
👫 Group bonding: teamwork, social interaction, and fun!

🌟 Advanced Independence Program (AIP)-Community Outing 🌟

It’s Community Outing Day for our AIP Year 2 students again! This time, our mission was to complete a grocery shopping trip together.

Our little explorers had a fantastic opportunity to practice important life skills in a real-world setting. Each child partnered up with a buddy, learning how to stay close and look out for one another through the buddy system. They also practiced sitting calmly inside the car and using quiet voices while waiting, showing great self-control in public spaces.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Buddy System
Each child was paired with a buddy to promote safety and teamwork. They learned how to stay close to their partner, move together, and look out for one another throughout the outing.

🪑 Sitting Manners
The children practiced appropriate sitting behavior while waiting, such as keeping their bodies calm, staying in their seats, and using quiet voices inside the car.

👂 Following Instructions
They followed directions from their teachers carefully, whether it was during transitions, moving through the store, or participating in the shopping activity. This helped them strengthen listening skills and learn to follow group routines.

🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ Body in the Group
The children learned how to stay together as a group, keeping their bodies within safe boundaries and being aware of where their peers and teachers were. This reinforced social awareness and group participation.

🚦 Safety Awareness
Our children practiced important safety skills such as looking both ways before crossing the road, holding hands, and walking carefully along the sidewalk to stay safe in the community.

🛒 Shopping Task
Each child was given the responsibility of finding a specific item to buy. They used the visual searching skills that they learned inside classroom setting to locate their item, made simple decisions, and asked for help when needed. This encouraged independence, purposeful movement, and functional communication in a real-world environment.

We are so proud of how well the children managed this outing. It was a fun and meaningful way to apply what they’ve been learning in a real-life setting!

🌟 Just wrapped up an incredible 3-day training with our amazing junior pediatric occupational therapists! 🌈✨
Throughout the sessions, they deepened their understanding of child development, learned hands-on strategies, and gained practical tools to support children more effectively in their daily lives and future therapy sessions. 💡🙌
We’re so proud of their growth, passion, and dedication to making a positive impact in pediatric therapy. The future is bright with this next generation of OTs! 💙👶🧠

Took a little break from our usual hustle to hang out, learn, and grow with teams from four other amazing pediatric OT centers around Malaysia, from North to South of Malaysia!


It wasn’t just about training—it was about sharing ideas, sharing new knowledges, laughing together, and building real connections. 💛

Grateful for a day full of good vibes, new perspectives, and awesome people. Here’s to lifting each other up and growing as one big OT fam of Malaysia 🌈🙌
