On Saturday, August 2, 2025, Columbia Asia Hospital - Petaling Jaya proudly hosted the GP Symposium 2025 at Nexus Connexion, Bangsar.​

Focused on the theme “Supporting Every Step, Strength in Motion,” the symposium aimed to equip general practitioners with deeper insights into musculoskeletal health, sports medicine, and radiology — highlighting the power of collaboration in delivering comprehensive patient care.​

The event welcomed 70 committed doctors from various clinics, offering a full day of learning, insightful discussions, and networking. Designed to strengthen the connection between primary care and specialist expertise, the symposium served as a platform to promote faster, more effective, and better-coordinated healthcare across the care continuum.​

We were pleased to welcome GP doctors from Setia Alam and Klang once again for an engaging and hands-on CME session at Columbia Asia Hospital - Klang, led by our Consultant Radiologist, Dr. Laxmanshri Jaya Prahaspathiji.

Titled “Sonographic Appearances of Common Disorders of the Urinary System,” the session covered practical topics such as KUB infections, renal and bladder tumors, cysts, calculi, prostate conditions, and more. Attendees walked away with valuable ultrasound tips they can apply in their daily clinical practice — with the highlight being a live, hands-on demonstration using a real subject.

A big thank you to Dr. Laxmanshri for his clear and practical teaching, and to all the GP doctors who attended and contributed to the session. It’s always a pleasure learning and growing together.

Thank you to Great Eastern Life Malaysia for inviting us to be part of The Great Journey Carnival at Great Eastern Mall over the weekend as The Great Journey Partner!

We are also grateful to everyone who visited the Asia OneHealthcare booth! Over the 3-day event, we were thrilled to welcome 232 insurance agents and 285 public visitors who participated in our booth activities.
