近期有不少的传闻说在抗疫期间建议尽可能不要佩戴隐形眼镜以避免受到疫情感染。然而，据近期的研究显示，在疫情期间佩戴隐形眼镜并不会导致患上Covid-19的个人风险增加。另一方面，比起隐形眼镜，又有些人认为眼镜可以提供多一层的保护。这说法理论上也是没错。但是，依现有的研究证据顯示，戴眼镜其实并不会降低患上疫情的个人可能性。总的来说，不管是为了工作或是矫正视力或其他总总的理由，若是有必要/需要戴隐形眼镜，大家还是可以很放心地继续使用隐形眼镜。

然而，更值得探讨的是，在这非常时期大家更应该注意的是平常照顾隐形眼镜的基本卫生习惯。切记在触碰隐形眼镜之前，必须勤洗手💦。世界卫生组织WHO建议洗手时必须使用肥皂和清水揉搓双手最少20至30秒，然后再用清洁的毛巾（最好是纸巾）擦干双手。另外戴上隐形眼镜时要注意的是：
-确保指甲是清洁的 （最好可以剪短以避免误伤眼睛）
-日抛型的隐形眼镜必须在当天使用的傍晚或在佩戴后的14小时内抛弃，拒绝反复使用
-月抛型的隐形眼镜必须每天使用适合的护理液清洗干净并浸6小时或以上，然后在开箱一个月之后抛弃
-储存隐形眼镜的盒子必须要每个月替换以避免微生物污染
-戴着隐形眼镜时务必避免揉搓眼睛，尽可能使用润眼液消缓

最后要注意的是，若是眼睛或身体感到任何的不适，请拒绝佩戴隐形眼镜。Ensure you FEEL GOOD, LOOK GOOD and SEE WELL when wearing your contact lenses! 我们早稻田有着 >75%的日抛隐形眼镜佩戴者，我们确信，早稻田的顾客和消费者都有强烈的卫生及健康意识。在这时候更是不应该松懈，更是不可以掉以轻心。
