Greetings to everyone!

We are pleased to invite you to the next session of our FEL274 (Health Promotion Pharmacy) Professional Lecture Series. In this session, we are honored to welcome Mr. Tan Chee Pone, a visionary pharmacist, entrepreneur, and health advocate who has redefined the role of the modern pharmacist.

As the founder of Lotus Pharmacy, established in 2003, he has transformed it into a well-recognized pharmacy chain with six thriving outlets and a wholesale division, built on the principles of trust, innovation, and community care.

Guided by the philosophy of salutogenesis, which emphasizes natural healing and the promotion of overall well-being, Mr. Tan seamlessly integrates modern pharmaceutical science with holistic wellness practices.

In this lecture titled “From Drug Expert to Health Expert,” Mr. Tan will share his insights on how pharmacists can evolve from dispensers of medicines to proactive health promoters, empowering individuals to live healthier and more balanced lives.

Date: 18 November 2025
Time: 2 pm – 3 pm
Venue: DK X, Universiti Sains Malaysia

Join us for this inspiring session — and witness how pharmacy can transform from treatment to true health promotion!

On 3 October 2025, the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences came alive with the spirit of camaraderie at Triple C, a special gathering designed to foster social interaction and idea exchange among staff. This year, the event was proudly hosted by the Discipline of Social and Administrative Pharmacy, and it was nothing short of inspiring!

We were honored to have Prof. Dr. Asrul Akmal Shafie and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ong Siew Chin share their invaluable experiences from their industrial attachments, offering unique insights that sparked meaningful discussions. Dr. Maryam also took the stage to recount her enriching journey at Qassim University, adding a global perspective to the conversations.

The vibe? Pleasant, engaging, and full of warmth! Triple C once again proved to be the perfect platform for academicians to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and strengthen the bonds that make our community so special.

Here’s to more connections, collaborations, and celebrations in the years to come! 💙
