Many children who are “always sick” are actually dealing with untreated allergies.

Allergic rhinitis causes:
• chronic nasal inflammation
• swollen turbinates
• blocked sinus drainage

This leads to mucus stagnation, which increases the risk of:
• sinus infections
• ear infections
• chronic cough

Treating the allergy often reduces how often a child gets sick.

Most parents think saline and allergy sprays are the only option.

They’re not.

Immunotherapy retrains the immune system — not just masks symptoms.

Not for everyone.
But for the right child, it’s life-changing.

Most parents accidentally spray towards the septum (middle wall).

That can cause:
• irritation
• nosebleeds
• discomfort

Correct technique for nasal sprays:
👉 Slightly OUTWARDS
👉 11 o’clock (left)
👉 1 o’clock (right)

Small angle change.
Big difference.

Save this.

Always use as prescribed by your doctor.

I’ve seen so many mums feel stressed over picky eating.

But sometimes...
It’s simply a blocked nose.

If a child:
• Has allergies
• Snores
• Mouth breathes
• Always sounds congested

They may not be tasting food properly.

It's not attitude.
It’s not bad parenting.
It’s not stubbornness.
It’s a blocked nose.

If they can’t smell, food doesn’t taste right.
Before you pressure them to eat…

Check their nose.

Comment “eat” if this sounds familiar.

Many parents think snoring is normal in children.
Sometimes it is…

But sometimes it means the airway is blocked.

Blocked sleep can affect:
• Growth
• Focus
• Behaviour
• Facial development

If your child snores regularly, it’s worth checking.

Comment “SLEEP” if your child snores. ❤️

Blocked nose for months?

Tried sprays. Tried antihistamines. Still mouth breathing?

It may not be “sinus.”

Enlarged turbinates are a very common cause of:
• Chronic nasal blockage
• Snoring
• Poor sleep quality
• Daytime fatigue
• Mouth breathing in children

Turbinates are important — they humidify and filter air.

But when they stay swollen, breathing and sleep suffer.

The key is proper assessment.

Not every blocked nose needs surgery.

But when medical treatment fails, modern turbinate reduction is precise, safe, and preserves normal nasal function.

Many families from Indonesia travel to Malaysia for:
✔️ Structured airway evaluation
✔️ Pediatric & adult ENT expertise
✔️ Clear treatment plans
✔️ Hospital-based procedures with safety standards

Healthy breathing changes sleep, growth, and quality of life.

🩸Most childhood nosebleeds are harmless.

But if they are frequent, heavy, or always from the same side, it may be a fragile vessel that keeps reopening.

In selected cases, cautery under general anesthesia is performed safely in hospital to stop the cycle.

No more repeated episodes.

If your child snores every night, gasps, or stops breathing briefly — this is NOT “deep sleep.”

It may affect growth, behaviour and school performance.

Don’t wait. Get it checked.

Comment “SLEEP” if you want the warning signs to look out for.

If saline “doesn’t work”… it’s probably the timing.
🛏 Snuffy every morning? → Rinse after waking (dust mites).

🌫 Worse after school? → Rinse after school (pollution/dust).

Same bottle.
Different timing.
Big difference.

Morning or after school for your child?

Mouth taping is trending.

But children usually mouth breathe because of obstruction — enlarged adenoids, allergies, nasal blockage.

Taping does not fix obstruction.

In some cases, it can worsen it.

If your child sleeps with their mouth open, snores, or gasps — get the airway assessed properly.

Comment “NOSE” if your child mouth breathes at night.
