Why don’t Malaysians consult psychologists? We’ve been thinking about this for a while! We developed the ReFlex Method (www.resolve.my/reflex/) to make it easier for people to meet with us. But we’d love to hear your ideas!

Why is it that in Malaysia the demand for psychologists is so low? There are only 400 clinical psychologists in Malaysia serving 33 million people. In the UK there are 27,700 Practitioner Psychologists (HCPC,2023) for a population of 65 million. In the UK those psychologists are in high demand and there is a push to train more psychologists.

So why aren’t psychologists in Malaysia in higher demand? What stops Malaysians from meeting with a psychologist?
