❌ “Cancer patients must eat bland, low-salt food.”
This is one of the most misunderstood nutrition myths I see in breast cancer care.

Hi, I’m Dr JC. I work with breast cancer patients to help them recover stronger, not weaker.

Many patients drastically cut salt after diagnosis, thinking it’s “healthier.”
But what I see clinically is the opposite:

➡ Poor protein absorption
➡ Difficulty absorbing vitamin B12
➡ More muscle cramps and fatigue
➡ Worse numbness during chemotherapy

Salt is not bad.
Sodium is an essential nutrient for nerve function, muscle contraction, and recovery.

The issue is excess, poor-quality salt — not salt itself.

When chosen properly and guided correctly, mineral-rich salts can actually support the body during treatment.

⚠️ Healing is not about fear-based restriction.
✅ It’s about personalized nutrition.

If you’re unsure what type or amount of salt is suitable, always speak with a trained nutritionist or dietitian.
