Tuberculosis (TB) is still present in Malaysia — and children are not spared.

TB is airborne, spreads through close contact, and requires at least 6 months of antibiotics for complete treatment. 😰

Another child in Malaysia has lost their life after being left alone in a car.

As a paediatrician, this is one of the hardest things to talk about — because it is completely preventable.

Please remember:
• Cars heat up dangerously fast
• Children cannot regulate heat like adults
• Heatstroke can occur in minutes
• There is no safe time to leave a child alone in a vehicle

This does not only happen to “careless” parents.
It happens during busy mornings, broken routines, exhaustion, and human error.

That is why systems — not memory — must protect our children.

❤️ Check the back seat. Every time.
❤️ Use reminders and alerts.
❤️ Confirm drop-offs and handovers.
