Great News parents!

Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) can cause serious lung infections in babies — especially during their first few months of life. 😔

Now, there’s a new protection called Beyfortus (nirsevimab) — a one-time injection that helps guard your little one against severe RSV illness.

👶 Who should get it?

- Newborns and infants entering their first RSV season (usually given at birth or before the season starts, ideally before 8 months of age).

- Children under 2 years old who remain at higher risk (such as those with heart, lung, or immune conditions) can get a dose before their second season.

Beyfortus is not a vaccine, but an antibody injection that provides immediate protection that lasts for the whole RSV season. It can be taken con-comittantly with routine immunisations.

Always consult your paediatrician to see if your child qualifies.

🍼 Safe Sleep, Sweet Dreams 💭

Every parent wants their baby to sleep soundly — and safely.

Here are some golden rules for safer sleep:
✨ Always place baby on their back to sleep — not on the side or tummy.
✨ Use a firm mattress with a fitted sheet — no pillows, blankets, or soft toys.
✨ Keep the sleep area smoke-free and clutter-free.
✨ Let baby sleep in the same room, but not the same bed.
✨ Avoid overheating — dress your baby comfortably, not too warm.

A safe sleep environment can reduce the risk of SUID (Sudden Unexpected Infant Death) and ensure your little one rests peacefully. 💗
