🌿 Seva at Batu Caves: A Day of Grace and Gratitude
On Monday, 1 September, blessed with sunshine and the stillness of a public holiday, a group of us from the Mohanji Malaysia family came together in loving service at the sacred Batu Caves temple in Kuala Lumpur.
One of our dear couples brought along their extended family—including siblings and in-laws—to participate in this meaningful seva for the well-being of all. Together, we offered food to the birds, fish, and monkeys—each representing a vital element of nature: air, water, and Earth.
It was especially touching to witness the monkeys gathered near the Hanuman Temple, as if drawn by divine alignment. In that sacred space—where beings of land, water, and air coexist—we felt the quiet power of unity.
Mohanji explains that feeding beings of the air, land, water, and even humans is a powerful spiritual practice. It helps clear emotional and karmic blockages within us, and also supports the souls of loved ones who have passed on. When we feed in their name, grace flows—easing their journey, and uplifting us with healing and lightness.
• Feeding birds (air) brings clarity, lightness, and freedom.
• Feeding beings of the land, like monkeys, supports grounding and stability.
• Feeding fish (water) enhances emotional flow and inner harmony.
This act of seva became much more than a physical offering—it was an offering of love, remembrance, and deep connection to all beings and elements that sustain life.
Afterward, we visited a nearby Shirdi Baba Temple, where we offered oil and prayers. In return, we received blessings and prasad—a moment of pure grace that sealed our day in love.
We are deeply grateful to Mohanji for gifting us this opportunity to serve, connect, and give back to Mother Earth, who endlessly sustains us.
Jai Mohanji! May we continue to walk this path of love and service.
🪔 Stay tuned for our next seva—happening Saturday, 13 September, during the sacred Pitru Paksha period. We will be offering prayers and annadanam in honor of our ancestors, with hearts full of remembrance and gratitude.
