Around 80% of Malaysians lack medical/takaful insurance coverage. With the government base medical & health insurance/takaful (MHIT) plan coming into force in 2027, this public forum aims to discuss the following questions:

❓What is MHIT and its benefits and drawbacks?
❓Is MHIT equitable & sustainable?
❓Is the proposed EPF withdrawal to pay for the base plan premiums helpful?
❓Why private hospital charges in Malaysia are not regulated?
❓What are the insurance loophole?

These are some of the issues relating to the rising healthcare costs. Coupled with inadequate retirement savings, these issues becomes critical especially to seniors. This event will give YOU the opportunity to ask questions and VOICE your concerns to experts and senior government officials about MHIT.

Know your B.E.A.T.:
💚 Bloating that is persistent and progressive
💚 Eating difficulties or feeling full too quickly
💚 Abdominal swelling or pelvic pain
💚 Toilet habit changes, including urinary urgency or frequency
